aside from the juniors day celebration, alongside with it was our play day in VE. and, our class bonded more than ever! we spent a few days overtime just to finish this play! even spent one weekend together to practice. and to think that this was only a minor subject!
...there was one time at bea's place... it was already 6:45pm and everybody was so hungry already.. the food hasn't arrived yet.. and we couldn't stop practicing since we're in a time crunch.. and everybody was just not cooperating. and since we only had two directors, monica and bea, they really had a hard time controlling the class. and suddenly, we were all just at a state (dunno how to describe it) when we saw monica crying. everybody began to pacify her and finally make her stop crying. and then... our rehearsal continued, with everybody cooperating this time. ;) and finally.. the food arrived. :) we all felt really energetic after we ate that we were able to finish the rehearsal.
on the day of the play, as early as 9:00am, we already began hair-styling and putting on make-up. hairstylers, monica and bea plus alex, did the hair dos of the ladies and gents in class. while trixie, fenelle, monica and alex did make up. multi-taskers, that's what we are. ^_^ the rest of the class fixed the props, rehearsed their lines and helped others while some were busy eating early recess. :P
it was at 10:30 that we were asked to go up to the AVR. and it was nicely decorated by the antonio class.. with the beach-y effect and everything. :)
anyway, we were to go first so when it was our turn to start the play.. we were all so tensed and panicked since we were still not convinced that our play was already looking good. we still felt that we lacked practice. but it was a good thing that nobody forgot their lines and timing. ;)
the best part of the play was the ending part. it was the "i'll be there for you" part. we used the theme song of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. : "i'll be there for you" by the Rembrants. we dunno... but there must be something in this song.. something great. when the music started playing, it just seemed that we all forgot our panic and worries..everybody was just smiling and laughing. and while the music was playing (and the class was singing along with it), it really has shown the closeness that we have.
and because of this, this has really shown great relief for the directors to see the enjoyment that their classmates had. and it has shown that finally, all their hardwork has paid off. just seeing that moment really gave the directors a very happy feeling.
